The 'Block Chair' evokes a subtle yet profound effect with a hand-dyed acrylic color chip inside a transparent block. It is part of Yoon's ongoing work series ‘Block’, the enigmatic diffusion and blurring of colors to present a sense of waves billowing in serenity.
Inspired by Arne Jacobsen’s talent in transforming mundane materials, as well as his experiments in working with acrylic in the ‘Block Chair’. The deep blue color of the chair evokes the African Lily Agapanthus’s thin, dark blue petals. It is represented with the refined implications carrying on Arne Jacobsens’s design language.
